In July 2026, Recheo Health Foundation marked its 5th Anniversary with a free eye care outreach at Government Primary School, Afikpo, Ebonyi State, in partnership with the Patience Ugo Okogeri Educational Foundation.

The outreach was designed to address vision challenges among school children by providing free eye screenings and prescription eyeglasses to pupils in need. Through this initiative, 80 pupils received eye examinations and corrective glasses, giving them the opportunity to see more clearly and participate more effectively in their learning activities. Good vision plays a critical role in a child's education, confidence, and overall development. By identifying and addressing vision problems early, the outreach helped remove barriers that can affect academic performance and everyday life.

The programme brought together healthcare professionals, educators, community members, and volunteers who shared a common goal of improving the well-being and future prospects of the children. The smiles and excitement on the faces of the beneficiaries reflected the life-changing impact of access to quality eye care.
